Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has encountered technical problems.
Months ago, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to return to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
