For something a little unexpected, try this elegant, martini-style cocktail. It’s light, aromatic and sippable, and matches wonderfully with parmesan chunks.

Sake Martini

Yields one serving

30ml gin – choose a premium dry gin

15ml Lillet Blanc – a light, herbal fortified wine

15ml sake – a light, medium-bodied one, ideally

Pour the gin, Lillet Blanc, and sake into a shaker, add a big handful of ice cubes and stir thoroughly for 30 seconds to cool. Pour into a frosty martini glass and enjoy.
