Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt prepared to express about his profound loss.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the files to prohibit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the tragedy, public individuals expressed different comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial statements that were met with immediate backlash by many public figures.
