Trump's Family Member Receives Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star maintains impressive online presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of high-profile cheerleaders when she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates numerous golf courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to compete and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, have fun, following the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA stated that her participation helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and has started an exclusive fashion and living label.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
